Position 1: Based in the East Specialist Older Adults Mental Health Service, based at Brighton General Hospital. Role is to assist the service with statutory duties such as Safeguarding & DoLS.

Position 2: Based in the Assessment and Treatment Service (working age) and will be focusing on Section 117 and service reviews. Again based at East Brighton.

The successful candidates will be required to use their social work skills and knowledge to assess needs under the Care Act 2014 and undertake interventions as appropriate, to act as a Lead Enquiry Officer for s42 enquiries, and to have knowledge of direct payments.

We will be looking for the following:

·         A recognised social work qualification and current HCPC registration supported by a strong track record of direct, complex social work with adults.

·         Confidence in knowledge and experience of safeguarding adults and the assessment of risk.

·         Experience of applying strengths based approaches and building on integration with health partners and drawing on community assets.

·         Experience of working in statutory social services, and of working in a fast-paced duty environment.
